- Hello,

- I would like to know if Trumpet winsock.dll supports the gethostname()
- function. It seems like all applications which calls this function can not be
- run with Trumpet winsock.dll. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

-
- I can confirm that it does. Just make sure that your host file has your
- IP address and hostname in it.

- Subject: WINSOCK API Initialization error
-
- I am using Pathworks for DOS (TCP/IP) version, but I use LANMAN version of TSR and Lanman's
- WINSOCK.DLL. There are times I get the following error when I try to load a winsock
- application:
-
- "WINSOCK API Initialization Error"
-
- "There is not enough DOS memory to allocate DOS bufers for all sockets"
-
- Question: Is there a way to tune 'protocol.ini' to get more buffers allocated for the sockets
- before starting windows?
-
- I will appreciate your help.
